The Liss, Greatham and Hawkley Friendship Fund exists to provide grants as listed below and also informal advice as to which local charities or agencies can help with a need outside the scope of the Fund, for example Citizens Advice Bureau, Royal British Legion, Abri Housing, a handyman service for minor repairs, Furniture Helpline and so on.
The Fund provides grants of up to £350 to individuals for things like:
These are not the only areas for which help can be given.
There are some restrictions on what we can do:
Applications can be made at any time and they will be considered promptly and confidentially (we never even tell each other who we are trying to help).
Applications can be made by the person who will directly benefit from the help or by someone else who is aware that the resident needs assistance.
We have to ask for an application form to be filled in so we can assess your individual circumstances.
If you or the person to be helped need assistance with completing the form, somebody from the Fund will be happy to help.
